
Dr. D'Adario S. Conway
Clinician
Dr. D’Adario Conway is a mental health clinician and consultant with nearly 20 years of Leadership and clinical experience in the nonprofit and private sectors. He is licensed to practice by the Louisiana and Texas State Boards of Social Work Examiners. Dr. Conway specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, as his career has focused on supporting various populations, including pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics, the homeless, low-income families, incarcerated individuals, and those with mental health, substance misuse, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Black males.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Southern University in Baton Rouge, a Master of Social Work from Southern University in New Orleans, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Southern University of Baton Rouge with a concentration in Police/Criminal Justice Reform and Health/Mental Health statuses of Black men.
Dr. Conway has been an adjunct professor of psychology at Southern University of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, teaching several graduate and undergraduate psychology courses. His most recent appointment was serving as the Assistant Mental Health Director at Louisiana State Penitentiary (Angola), the largest and most maximum security prison in the United States. He
also served as the Regional Director for ResCare, the largest private provider of services to individuals with intellectual and mental disabilities in a residential setting in the United States.
He founded DSConsultant & Associates, LLC, Mental Health Counseling and Consulting Group, to optimize access to mental health services. Dr. Conway has over 20 years of clinical experience treating ADHD, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and a variety of other psychiatric disorders. He is also experienced in individual, group, marriage, and family therapy.
Dr. Conway has presented at several professional conferences across the country, and he continues his research endeavors. His career has always been anchored in mental health and helping others reach their maximum potential.
