Frequently asked questions

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, but at Retrospective Wellness, we aim to make the process as simple and supportive as possible. Before scheduling your first appointment, we offer guidance and education over the phone to help answer any questions and ensure you feel confident moving forward.
When you reach out by phone or email, our Office Manager and Intake Coordinator will promptly respond to walk you through how our practice works. They will gather some information about your needs and goals to thoughtfully match you with a provider who best fits your concerns — whether that’s within our team or, if needed, through a trusted referral outside of our practice.
At Retrospective Wellness, our priority is to help individuals and families connect with the right mental health support.

Retrospective Wellness accepts insurance and works with a variety of plans. We are in-network with several insurance providers, and we are happy to verify your benefits for you. If we are not in-network with your insurance company, we can provide the necessary documentation for out-of-network reimbursement. Many of our patients successfully use their insurance plans in this way.
We also accept HSA and FSA accounts for payment. Our services are offered at various investment levels, depending on the professionals involved (e.g., Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Counselors, and trainees). Please contact us for specific details on fees and available services.
In line with the No Surprises Act, which took effect January 1, 2022, we are committed to providing transparency in your care. You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate of services before treatment begins, and updated estimates as your treatment progresses.
Each service is billed individually, and you can choose to discontinue services at any time. Before scheduling, we will provide you with the exact fee for each service, and you and your provider will discuss the recommended frequency of sessions based on your needs.
ART THERAPY is private pay ONLY!
Insurance & Payment Policy Retrospective Wellness Group accepts select insurance plans. Coverage may vary depending on your provider and individual plan. We encourage all clients to verify their benefits directly with their insurance company before scheduling. Clients are responsible for any copays, deductibles, or services not covered by insurance.
For those without insurance or who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments based on financial need.
If you have any questions about coverage or payment options, please contact us at Admin@retrospectivewellnessgroup.com.

We recommend asking your insurance provider the following questions to help you understand your benefits and the potential for reimbursement:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
If so, what percentage or flat rate will be reimbursed?
Is there an out-of-network deductible I need to be aware of?
